collective.fsdsimplifier 1.2 released

Package developed at West Coast Sprint 2010 gets updated release.

One of the packages developed at our first West Coast Plone Sprint (held in August 2010) has a new-and-improved release on pypi.python.org. collective.fsdsimplifier will streamline your Faculty/Staff Directory profiles for end users, hiding many of the options that clutter up the interface and tend to confuse users who are simply trying to update their contact or professional information. Version 1.2 offers a clean uninstall and ensures that the modifications to the Person schema only apply on sites where collective.fsdsimplifier is installed.

Add collective.fsdsimplifier to your buildout or download the package from Pypi. (The package is maintained by LA Plone member Heather Wozniak.)

You may also have recently noticed improvements to the Plone Software Center, a.k.a. the downloads section of plone.org. You can now rate the products, find a table summarizing all releases for a project, and see screenshots in your search results (among other improvements). This is another contribution that came out of the West Coast Sprint, thanks to the awesome work of Elizabeth Leddy.
